“We’re on the road again… anyone surprised!? 😉

Yesterday, Louis and I hit the road to make our way to North Carolina to shoot a wedding. We decided to make a road trip out of it and stopped in Nashville along the way and I am so glad we did! We stayed at one of Nashville’s most hip hotels, the Russell Hotel and I truly didn’t want to leave! The Russell is easily one of the most unique, coolest hotels that we’ve stayed at thus far.

The Russell is housed in a renovated 115-year old historic church. They’ve done an amazing job preserving many original features from the church (the stained glass windows, exposed brick walls, the repurposed pews used as bed headboards, etc. It is located in the heart of East Nashville in “Nashville’s Coolest Neighborhood” named by Vogue and is within walking distance to several amazing restaurants/shops and just a few miles from the downtown.

The moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed. The main lobby is an absolute dream, with immaculate stained glass windows, stunning tile, vibrant mid-century furniture, and electric decor. Not to mention, they truly outdid themselves with a coffee bar, recording studio, and fun photo booth.

While the entire building is truly one of a kind, the heart behind The Russell is definitely the best part!! The Russell gives away a significant amount of each night’s stay to Nashville’s local homeless ministries. The average stay at The Russell provides 16 beds and warm meals at local homeless shelters.

Friends, the Russell is an absolute gem and you won’t want to miss it if you happen to be in Nashville!!
